HMCPSI currently operates its inspection regime on a two-year cycle, and has now completed the end of its second cycle. HMCPSI are taking the opportunity that this presents to examine the methodology that is used in inspections and the process by which the inspection programme is defined. More information about the new inspection methodology will be published here just as soon as it is available. HMCPSI has an inspection regime which carefully scrutinises both the quality of CPS casework and how well the Service manages itself.
